Custom HMTL Module User 1

To edit, go to Extensions - Extensions Manager, and choose "Custom HMTL Module User 1." This type of module allows you to enter text, images, etc. just like you would for an article, but you can assign it to any template position. This is template position User 1.

This module is the same as Custom HMTL Module User 1, we've just set "Show Title" to "No."


You can easily add links here as well. Just highlight your text, and click the "Insert/Edit Link" in your JCE text editor.

The banner image above is also a custom HTML module. It's assigned to the template positon Showcase. To edit, simply delete the image that's there and replace with your own. This image is 960x260 pixels.

Custom HMTL Module User 4

Change the module header color like we have done module below. This module is grey by default because we are using the grey style of CloudBase. For another color, enter one of these values for Module Class Suffix under Module Parameters: _blue, _orange, _green, _red, _brown, or _gray.

To edit or remove the text "Welcome to the Frontpage" as shown on this sample site's frontpage, follow these simple instructions. From top menu, select Menus --> Main Menu. Click on "Home." To the right, click "Parameters (System)." To hide this text, select "No" for "Display Page Title." Or, edit the "Page Title" text as desired. Click "Save."

 

Within this menu item is also where you can specify how many articles to show on the frontpage, how many columns, etc. This is under Parameters (Basic). Control article order under Parameters (Advanced). In this sample we have turned off some parameters such as author name, date created/modified, and icons. This is under Parameters (Component).

Services Article 2

To show only a snippet of text on the front page with a "Read more" link to the full article, simply click on the "Insert Read More" icon in the JCE text editor at the place you would like the text to break. Find it in the 4th row of icons, second to last icon.
